ABOUT US

We are a
humanitarian, community-based organization that aims
at the health and well-being of Gays, Lesbians,
Bisexuals and Transsexuals (LGBT) in Africa and the
Caribbean, their diaspora and friends. Our
registered office is located in Montreal, Quebec,
Canada.
African Rainbow has been around since August 20,
2002 and was officially registered on November 25,
2004 as a non-profit organization.
Our goal is to raise awareness, inform and educate
our members as well as the general public on topics
such as prevention, HIV/AIDS, health, well-being,
the fight against homophobia -- and rights and
freedoms.
We have numerous connections in Africa, Europe &
North America, and we expect to reach the Caribbean.
African Rainbow is where African/Caribbean queers --
and their friends -- find themselves. We support
active LGBT communities from developing countries
through dialogue and meetings.
African Rainbow is a great resource for workers,
investors, government officials and even western
LGBT travelers who intend to go to Africa and/or the
Caribbean. We provide guidance and help them get
useful connections for their stay abroad.
